Adorable Nut

This is done based on the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch for December #1.  I LOVED doing this page!!  Andrew has just learnt how to pose and ham it up for the camera.  This is a sample of his expressions that he uses every day.  He just asks to be hugged and kissed!!  The only thing on this page that is not from Kaisercraft are the little black dots.  The rest is a mix of all different collections.  I have also used die's in the cuttlebug.

Precious Little Shynade

This is my newest little niece.  She is the forth in her little family and is a cute little bundle of love.  I am putting this in for the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #2 (December).  The background paper is from the 'Timeless Collection' - Dress Form.  The rest of the paper is from the 'Forget-Me-Not Collection'.  I had a chance to get to the Kaisercraft outlet which is half an hour away from us.  So I got to stock up on paper and such.  Because the outlets are selling the latest collections, which I think they have every right to, all the local shops have had a little hissy fit and refuse to stock Kaisercraft.  So I am not too fond of the local shops at the moment.  It is not easy to drive half an hour with two little kids to go scrapbook shopping.  So now I will just have to buy in bulk every so often.  Oh well.  I totally enjoyed making this layout.  And with all these goodies just begging me to scrap more I am in total scraping mode.  :)

So GLAD you are my daughter!

My Mind's Eye have set a challenge with the theme of 'Gratitude'.  I couldn't help thinking how grateful I am to have my girl.  She is a mini me and we often have a difference of opinion but at the end of the day I am so glad that she is mine.  That I can hug her and sneak into her room for a stolen kiss on her cheek before I go to sleep.  I love how she is always drawing me pictures even though I have no more room for them.  I love how she loves her brother and us as parents.  All of this makes me count my blessings.  So this is my 'grateful' page.

Beautiful Girl

This page was inspired by both the photo and Kaisercraft.  So I am submitting it for the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #1 November.  We had a kids party at our place and the kids had the best time.  We made a plastic slide and put bubble bath mixture on it and let them have free range with the hose.  It made for lots of fun and great photo's.  I love this little girl.  She is my daughter's best friend and she is just adorable.  I have used the "Fine and Sunny" range and blue paint.

For Keeps tag

This is a tag I did for the Bo Bunny card competition.  We were asked to make a tag instead of a card.  I totally loved doing this.  I have used the Believe Dreams and Homespun Holidays Frost papers.  I have also used white paint, two flowers, a rub-on, a trinket, ribbon and a die.

Cool Dude

This is my interpretation of the Sat Sketch #3 for Kaisercraft.  I tried to be as grungy as I could.  My little man was having a go at his sisters skate board and doing a good job of it too!!  Almost all is Kaisercraft products with the exception of the title chipboard.

Saturday Sketch #1 October 2012 Kaisercraft

This is my interpretation of the sketch for the first of October.  I love this photo of my little man.  He is so cute!  I have used mostly all Kaisercraft.  The only thing that is not from Kaisercraft is a ticket and the clay but I have used the stamp from Bonjour and then painted it with brown to give it an aged look.  It was an experiment. I am happy with how it turned out.

MME September Challenge #2

This was done for the MME September Challenge.  The challenge was to do a page using MME and a card that goes along with the page.  Since I usually do a card to use up my scraps this was perfect.  I was hoping to do some stitching with the machine on the layout and card but my machine needs a bit of TLC.  I have been doing a bit of sewing and it needs a good clean.  The picture is of my daughter meeting her new cousin Shynade for the first time.  Shynade is only one week old her and I think my girl was amazed and awed by how tiny she is.  I love love love my girls expression on her face.  So serious and a little grown up.  It's hard to believe she is six in a few weeks.

September Kaisercraft Sketch #2 September 2012

This is my take on the Sept #2 sketch.  I had soooooo much fun doing this.  I had lost my mojo there for a while but I am happy with how this turned out.  Andrew was given a bubble blower from his Uncle (this family is very technical - really should stock up on this paper!!).  Andrew + bubbles + bubble blower = FUN!!  I love how the photo just captured the bubbles over his eye's.

Sat Sketch #1 September 2012 Kaisercraft

This is my interpretation of this weeks sketch.  I have used the English Rose collection and paper from the Pink Gelato paper pad.  Also used are Kaisercraft flowers and pearls.  I am also trying to both layer (not a strong point of mine this layering and clustering) and use up a lot of my stash so I have used left over flowers, a broken necklace and a butterfly I can't even remember where I picked it up.  I am unsure how to cut around the paper so the wooden table is the background.  Sorry I didn't put a title on it. It is a photo of my Grandparents wedding day.  My Grandfather is still alive and doing amazingly well at the ripe age of 96, and still driving!  He is an amazing man!!

Kaisercraft #2 August Saturday Sketch

This is my take on the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #2 August.  These two are cousins with only five months apart in age.  They were enjoying some holiday fun, bowling.  She really does love him!!

Friendship

Finally life is getting back to normal after all the colds and one horrible flu and I have been able to do some scrapbooking.  Yay!!  This is of my daughter and her best friend.  So cute together.

Kaiser Sat Sketch #3 July

I was really enjoying doing this one.  I left it to eat tea and my four year old decided that it needed his art work on it too.  He coloured it in with pencil and proudly showed me.  Sigh.  I have rubbed it out but he draws heavy.  Amazingly you can't see it on the photo.  But I took photo's of his work and have put them in too.  It happens to be a page of him so I guess he decided to contribute his way.  Anyway I am going to put it in the competition so everyone can see his work too.
This is the first time I have let him ride on of the horses.  I wasn't sure if he would understand what was happening but he realized once the horse started walking, and he really loved the experience.  The owners were great and are used to kids with special needs.  They did a wonderful job.
I have used Little Toot paper, a Kaiser stamp, and Kaiser flowers and brad.  Andrew used a pencil.  Mummy used a rubber!!!!

Kaiser Sat Sketch #2 July

I have used the Fine and Sunny paper for this.  Had so much fun!!  I drew around the embellishments with black pen to highlight them.  And did a bit of doodling on the page to match.  I used the rub-on Imagine but it didn't want to come off (having a real problem with them at the moment) so I just left the rub-on on the plastic backing.  That works :).  I just love those eyes of my girl!!

Those Eyes

This is a page I did for Anna's Craft Cupboard, the July sketch.  My girl has the most beautiful eye's.  Just love them.  I used MME paper.

Kaiser craft Sat Sketch July #1 2012

I finally had time to sit down and have a go at this sketch.  I was glad that I could use three photo's (I know there are only two in the sketch) because I have been wanting to scrap these for a while.  My husband came home with a remote controlled car for our little boy and he just LOVED it!  He has no idea how the buttons work (neither does Mummy) but he just knows that if he pushes the buttons the car moves.  Look out everything in the way!!  The cat is now missing a rather large chunk of fur.  I just love my little boy's face of glee.  And I must say I have the best husband ever!!
I have used the Check In paper as well as a page of the Miss Nelly paper.  I need the red colour and it matched just fine.  I love the alphabet on the bottom of the paper, it is great for making words.  And who can resist the stamps from the Little Toot collection!  So thanks for the inspiration once again Kaiser craft!

My Minds Eye July Challenge

For this challenge we were asked to do a monochromatic page.  I adore the colour blue and often put my girl in blue to take photo's of her because her eye's are an amazing blue.  So I just had to do a page of blue with my daughter in it.  I really enjoyed all the fussy cutting that happened to go with this page.  I had to cut some of the other colours out of the "doilies" but it was relaxing to just cut.  (While I was preparing to do this page my 4 year old fell down our stairs backwards and given that he's epileptic that meant a trip to the hospital to be checked out.  So I really needed a relaxing time!!)  Anyway here is the page of my girl all in blue.

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #4 June

This is my take on the fourth sketch for the month.  I have used the fairy collection. I flipped it on it's side as I often do.

Monday 25 June 2012

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #3

This is my take on this weeks Sat Sketch for June.  I love these photo's of my little man.  He has such a beautiful personality.  And I have been waiting for the right photo's to use this paper.

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #2 June

I wasn't sure that I would get this or any other pages done for the month.  I have been sewing up a dress for my girl and I am really happy with the results.  (I'm not really into sewing but getting the feel for it.)  Can't wait to get a photo of her in it to scrap.  I was inspired by Kaisercraft 'Fine and Sunny' paper and another paper.  Anyway this is my take on the second sketch for the month.  Again it is a mix of a few papers, but then they mix well together!  I also discovered that if I carefully put the string pearls on the paper I can bend them to make them into a bit of a shape instead of a straight line.

Monday 18 June 2012

A dress inspired by scrapbooking.

This is a dress that I just had to do.  I was inspired by scrapbooking paper and having made a dress similar I decided to see if I could do it again.  I love the results and can't wait for my girl to get a chance to wear it.  Now I need to scrap a page with her wearing the dress!

MME June Challange (Fussy cutting)

MME have asked that we do a page with fussy cutting in it.  I could only get one page with the big beautiful flowers on it so my fussy cutting has been to cut the flowers enough to let the photo's slip under them.  I also used another of their papers to cut the pink on the top left hand corner.  I liked the zigzag pattern so didn't over cut it.  I enjoyed doing the page which is what it is all about!

Tuesday 5 June 2012

All Boy

My little man is just so so cute in this picture that it had to be scrapped.  I have used the darling BoBunny paper, Camp*A*Lot.

Monday 4 June 2012

Kaiser Sat Sketch June #1

This is my take on the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch June #1.  I have used the Rewind collection papers :-Volume, Record and Pause.  And used the Sugar Sugar brads from Kaisercraft.  I also used brown paint and various cups to do the circles.  My little man had just woken up and sat down to draw but looked so pensive as he thought about WHAT to draw.  Love that little boy!!

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #3 May

This is my take on the  Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #3 May.  I have used the paper from Magnolia Grove collection - Luxury x 2 and Lavish and Classic.  The butterflies were cut out of the Timeless collection paper and painted with pale pink.  From Kaisercraft I have also used the rub-on Family and  a rhinestone flourish - elegant ice.

The photo is of my husbands Poppa ( he's the baby in arms).  I love collecting old family photo's to see where the resemblances come from in my children.  It's a beautiful thing!

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #2 May

Wow!  I had so much fun doing this.  I couldn't help but shrink it down and play with the sketch.  These two kids are the best of friends.  It is wonderful to see them play together.
I have used from Kaisercraft :-  Miss Nelly paper pad, pearls, pearl strips, flowers, a sparklet, paint - dusty pink and mini alpha's.   I have also used basil, a rhinestone heart, a pin, a doily, leaves flower/bows and butterfly and flower punches.  Again, thanks for the inspiration!

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #1 May

This is my take on the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch for May #1.  I was dying to scrap this photo of my beautiful daughter running in paradise like gardens.  The paper seemed to go perfectly with the photo.  I have used from Kaisercraft :- the Miss Nelly papers and rub-on's, paper from the Pet's Paradise collection, pearl strips, pearls, a pearl brad and flowers.  I have also used cream basil, flowers, homemade flowers, diamond dust, leaves, stitching and a pin stick.  Thanks for the inspiration Kaisercraft.

And for some reason I cannot get the little photo's to go the correct way.  Sigh, computers are confusing!!  So sorry that they are on their side.

Friday 4 May 2012

I know this is not scrapbooking but I have had soooo much trouble finding a nice winter dress in the shops for my 5 year old.  Every thing is just too short!!  I hate being dictated to by the shops in what to dress my kids in.  I want her to stay sweet and innocent for as long as possible.  So I bit the bullet and with my Mum's guidance sewed this up.  It took almost two days but boy do I feel satisfied.  I bought the top and necklace from Target but the rest is all my own work.  I feel satisfied and happy with the results.

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch #4 April

I wasn't planning on giving this Sketch a go.  I have just been so busy but the rainy weather trapped me indoors.  This is again a photo of my little man.  Those of you who know his story know what he goes through.  I took this photo of him walking into the ECDP ( a special school for kids with disabilities that is in preparation for the big school.)  He was three here and I insisted on him carrying his own bag like a big boy.  He goes to class two days a week without me which was strange at first but now I love it.  And they do such a great job there.  It has been almost three months since any seizure activity and it is amazing how he is coming on.  He can talk so much more.  Not sentences but lots of words.  I am so PROUD of him.  When bad seizures are a problem he just gets up and keeps going.

Again I have used a combination of different papers from so many collections.  I started to take note of them but I am sure I have missed a few.  So far I have paper from :- Lilac Avenue, Little Toot Stickers, Miss Nelly, Bugs and Party Animals.  I also used the latest Kaiser stamps.  LOVE those stamps!!  Oh and I had lot's of fun blowing the paint around on the paper.  Who's a big kid?

Kaisercraft April #3 Sat Sketch

This is my take on Kaisercrafts April #3 Sat Sketch.  I found there to be a lot of detail in the original sketch and that bogged me down a bit until I culled a bit of the papers down.  But I love what has evolved from it all.  I also used papers that have been in my stash for a long time waiting for the right photo. (I must learn to tweak photo's on the computer before printing them though.  I find this photo could do with a bit of lighting up.)  The papers are from the Blushed collection.  The pink organza flower in the bottom right is my first attempt at organza home made flowers.  Still got a lot to learn in that area. :)  That is what craft is all about though!!

Kaisercraft Sat Sketch April #2

This is my take on the Kaisercraft Sat Sketch April #2.  One thing I really love about Kaisercraft is that even if the papers come from different collections often they will match.  I have used papers from at least 3 different collections.  My son can pull very funny faces some times for no reason.  This was one of them.......

My Mind's Eye April contest

This is the first time I have done a page for a MME competition but it has been very exciting.  I was forced to step outside the square (hexagon) I usually work in and try something different which I loved!!  Hope you like it!
