Dancing with Dad.

This is done for My Minds Eye.  I love their sketches.  They usually inspire me to get pages done.  I have used a mix of MME paper.  The photos are of my daughter and my husband dancing at my niece's wedding.

Friendship Card

I am starting to really get into cards but you can tell that I have a lot to learn.   I did this for the practice and to enter Simon Says Monday challenge, stampout challenge.  I love the quote.  The picture is a stamp coloured with water colour pencils.

Card for Pagemaps

I was aiming for a more masculine card here.  Pagemaps gave the sketch and I didn't feel like doing a girly card.  Just in one of those moods I guess.   ;)

Hair clip holder

I have been wanting to make this for a while.  Simon Says  Stamp Monday challenge is all about flourishes and the penny dropped on how I wanted to make this.  The two big flourishes half hidden are the base and I added flowers and bling to dress it up.  I have a fettish with hair clips and now can keep them tidy.  Some of my clips are looking a bit battered because I just take them out and throw them in the cupboard. Problem fixed!

School Musical

My Minds Eye have the most stunning sketches.  I LOVE this one!  I have tried to do it a bit different from the sketch this week but I plan to use it again.  I love how you can mix and match the papers from MME.  All the papers and embellishments are MME. The photos are of my son at his school musical.  He goes to a Special School and all the kids were involved.  It really was wonderful to see those kids having so much fun!  Andrew was so happy to be on the stage with his friends.

Need a Cuppa? Card.

I think I am starting to get an addiction to the Simon Says Monday challenge.  I don't have time to do five items but I am enjoying getting my card collection going.  Now I have cards ready when I need them instead of scrambling to make one.   The challenge this week is 'It's a mystery'.  So for my 'mystery' item I have used the tin foil found in the top of a new Milo tin.  I wish I could just buy this stuff in bulk instead of waiting for the Milo to be used up so I can buy another tin.  Thankfully my kids go through Milo like its going out of fashion.  In fact Andrew loves Milo so much we are getting a four word sentance out of him!!!  He says "I want Milo please".  Actually it sounds more like "I want Lo pese" but a sentance is a sentance!  Anyway I put a tea set through the cuttlebug using the tin foil, then I embossed the teapot and dabbed brown and red paint on it till I was happy.  I tried to bend the teapot and cup enough to give it dimension and used foam squares to build it up.  Hopefully that is mysterious enough :)

Smile card

This is what patchwork is all about to me. The tiny pieces stitched together with love. I have done this one for the Simon Says patchwork challenge too.  I have run the embosser over it to make it look like it has the stitching all over like quilts do.
